چکیده
Purpose: To investigate the in vivo antiplasmodial effect of Mangifera indica aqueous extract Plasmodium berghei-infected mice, and to characterize its phytochemical constituents their mechanism action.
Methods: The plant leaves (250.71 g) stem bark (509.34 were weighed, macerated 5 L boiled, distilled water for 72 h, filtered. In evaluation was carried out using mice. leaf extracts subjected gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (GC-MS) analysis characterization chemical constituents.
Results: leaf/stem (1:2) (88.27 %) exhibited chemosuppressive activities that better than artesunate (88.04 artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACT, 84.60 %). Its schizonticidal (98.63 revealed a therapeutic response when compared with (92.34 Spectroscopic showed linoleic acid esters other compounds.
Conclusion: Therapeutic exhibit superior activity ACT artesunate. Furthermore, may contribute strong antimalarial by inhibiting fatty biosynthesis.
